The first edition of Breakthrough!@MSU Festival had its breakthrough from June 22 to June 24 in 2013 in the Museum of Contemporary Art.
  
The project was conceived as a platform for different kind of arts, not confined by genres, for presenting innovative and interesting forms between performance, theatre, installation, and visual art, with a strong focus on sound art.
 
The 2013 Breakthrough! program was comprised of six main parts:
 
• live performances
• exhibitions
• artist in residence
• educational program
• international meetings/panel discussions - experts and producers.
